Your Role:
The Registered Nurse, Surgical Stepdown will apply the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The RN effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborate in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.

Department/Unit Summary:

The Surgical Stepdown unit (9 North) is a 27 bed progressive care inpatient adult unit. Our unit is a critical care unit that specializes in the care of the post-operative surgical patient including thoracic surgery, oncology-endocrine surgery, emergency general surgery, and head & neck surgery, among others.

Position Shift:

Full-time Days (7am-7pm), Nights (7pm-7am)

$65,000 - $100,000 per year

Core Accountabilities:

Executes job responsibilities with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other areas related to own job area/team with occasional guidance. Analyzes moderately complex problems using technical experience and judgment.

This position requires a Registered Nurse with 1 year of relevant experience, graduate of an approved discipline specific program, and licensure, certification, and/or registration as a Registered Nurse required.
