    Requirements:

    • High School or Equivalent Diploma
    • Food Handlers Certification
    • Must be able to pass a level II AHCA background screening and drug test.
    • 1-2 Years Related Experience

    At Seashore Senior Living, we have an immediate opening for a cook in our facility. This is a very important position, as you will be directly impacting our residents daily with the food you prepare.

    At Seashore, our team is a family, and we are looking for a new team member that can be depended on to show up and serve our residents with amazing, nutritious meals.

    As a Seashore Cook, you will

    1. Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and appealing according to company menus and recipes, as well as to physician orders.
    2. Ensure food and supplies are available for meals planned.
    3. Prepare and serve food attractively and punctually.
    4. Oversee procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing of food in a timely manner.
    5. Assist with cleaning the kitchen after meals according to cleaning schedule, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors.
    6. Conduct Food and Kitchen Supply Inventory on a weekly basis
    7. Complete order sheets for weekly ordering

    The ideal candidate will have

    • One year of relevant experience working in a restaurant or assisted living environment.
    • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Have a passion for food and service
    • Desirous or caring for a garden that provides fresh foods to residents
    • Maintain food handlers certification
    • Working knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation measures, and storage protocols.
    • A heart for working with senior adults and their families.

    Compensation: $15 - $20 per hour depending on experience.
