- Uses effective teaching and assessment strategies in the classroom, laboratory setting, and if applicable, the clinical environment.
- Collaborates in the implementation of the program's mission and vision for programmatic and department improvement.
- Provides advisement and guidance to nursing students to provide effective academic progression through graduation.
- Works collaboratively with faculty members, staff, and administrators of the Nursing Programs and School of Nursing and Health Sciences to meet the program's goals.
- Master's degree in area of nursing specialization and/or nursing education is required from an accredited institution of higher education. Teaching experience in higher education preferred. Doctoral degree in nursing preferred.
- Must be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania and Delaware, and meet background requirements according to institutional regulations, the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, and Pennsylvania and Delaware statutes.
- Candidates must possess an appreciation for, congruence with, and commitment to the Franciscan mission of the University that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Candidates should be aware that Neumann University does not have a system of tenure, but instead offers faculty a policy-governed system of promotion and increasingly extended contracts with faculty seniority.
