    Description

    Job Description

    Working without much supervision, reading blueprints, following instructions, and setting up complex machining operations are all part of the job. You'll need to know how to use different tools and equipment skillfully to meet specifications. Making setups, operating various machines, and choosing the right tools are all vital aspects of the role.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Capable of setting up and operating machines, choosing tools, and working with jigs and fixtures.
    • Skilled in using machinist tools and measuring instruments.
    • Familiar with machining different materials.
    • Proficient in advanced shop math like trigonometry.
    • Handling parts and maintaining a clean work area.
    • Adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
    • Performing other assigned duties.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Operating standard and specialized equipment for production.
    • Conducting shop calculations using technical math.
    • Having a team-oriented mindset.

    EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED

    • Expertise in CNC machining center setup.
    • Proficiency in using grinders and inspection equipment.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant work experience.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Moderate physical activity involved.
    • Handling objects up to 50 pounds and extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
