    Type of Travel: * * * CACI is in search of a Lead Software Architect/Engineer to support critical software development activities for PM Mission Command (PM MC) and the Mounted Mission Command Family of Systems in Huntsville, AL.

    This individual functions as the Program's senior technical lead and is responsible for creating a cohesive strategy with clear alignment to positive outcomes of the client in terms of managing inputs and requirements from multiple stakeholders.


    What You'll Get to Do:

    • Design, develop, integrate, and demonstrate software applications with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance.
    • Lead vendor relationships, collaborating with external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Work closely with Research Labs to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
    • Apply project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum to effectively plan and execute software development projects.
    • Develop applications for Android, leveraging languages such as C++, JAVA, and QT.
    • U tilize MS Project, Jira System, and Confluence to manage project timelines, track progress, and facilitate collaboration. * Design, code, test, and evaluate application programs and functions to meet customer requirements. * Gather and refine specifications and requirements, reviewing Software Specifications, Requirements Documents, and Design Documents. * Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and other relevant software documentation.

    Mounted Mission Command Family of Systems as an on-the-move, networked mission command information system that enables units to share near real-time friendly and enemy situational awareness information, share common operation maps and graphics, transmit and receive command and control messages, and conduct interactive communications via chat rooms.

    Within Mounted Mission Command are four Programs of Record, Software, Network, Transport, and Compute and Store.

    Mounted Mission Command-Software is one of three major components of the Army Common Operation Environment and will interface and share data with other computing environments.


    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Active Secret Security Clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, Master's preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience designing, developing, integrating, and demonstrating software applications.
