Application Architect | Hybrid | Richardson, TX | Contract to Hire Walker Healthforce is seeking an Application Architect for a healthcare client located in Richardson, TX.

This is a contract opportunity.

Provide design recommendations aligned with long-term IT organizational strategy.
Develop enterprise-level application and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features.
Utilize various platforms to deliver automated systems applications to customers.
Offer expertise in integrating applications across the business.

Determine specifications, plan, design, and develop the most complex and business-critical software solutions, either individually or collaboratively with project teams.

Assist in resolving the most difficult support problems.
Establish programming and development standards, procedures, and architectures for code reuse.
Possess in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
Apply current application development methodologies consistently.
Research and stay updated on emerging technologies and their potential business applications.
Be recognized both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
7+ years' experience in multiple IT areas
3+ years relevant architecture experience
Advanced knowledge of knowledge and understanding of architecture, application systems design and integration
Proficient with Microsoft application (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
