    Salted Edge Modern Kitchen + Bar on the water located at West Shores 110 S 243rd St in Waterloo NE, is in search of a creative & edgy Host & Take-Out Cashier, full-time and part-time positions, to team up with us in our lake-life atmosphere. Just remember, "Don't be Salty"

    Our executive management & restaurant operations team has over 141+ years of collective experience that we rely upon as we stay dedicated to creating an educated, motivated, and inspired TEAM of employees.

    In this position, the Host & Take-Out Cashier forms the first impression our guests have of the front-of-house functions in the restaurant. Your demonstration of quality service & genuine hospitality welcoming our guests & setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience is highly influential.

    Host & Take-Out Responsibilities:

    • Welcome & greet all guests, quote accurate wait times, answer questions, provide menus, and assign guests to tables suitable for their needs according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seating's
    • Hold the guest as the most important priority at all times
    • Engaging with the guests while they are waiting, address/resolve any queries/complaints
    • Maintain contact with the kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure all dining details are handled properly, and guests' concerns are addressed
    • Answering phone calls, booking reservations and entering into reservation system (such as Open Table) with precision
    • Taking & entering to-go orders into the POS system and assembling those orders while ensuring order accuracy
    • Possess excellent knowledge of the menu and to-go operations & process card & cash transactions
    • Keeping updated on the restaurant happenings: number of available & reserved tables, as well as opening & closing times
    • Inspect dining & serving areas and restrooms, monitor cleanliness & proper stocking & setup

    Host & Take-Out Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Prior experience in the hospitality industry or a restaurant
    • Strong communication & organization skills, proficient time management & multitasking
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced atmosphere
    • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays and has a reliable mode of transportation
    • Personable & passionate for the art of hospitality, thriving in a team environment

    Employment Package:

    • $15 - $20 per hour + tips
