- Provide real-time sign language interpretation for a student attending classes virtually.
- Facilitate effective communication between the student and teachers during instructional time, ensuring the student's full participation in classroom activities.
- Partner with an instructional aide who will support the student on site
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to ensure that the student's individualized educational needs are met.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, adhering to ethical standards of practice for sign language interpreters.
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- EIPA scores of are eligible if scores have been received within the last 24 months. A waiver will be secured for this scenario.
- Previous experience interpreting in educational settings with children

Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.Lansing, Michigan -We are seeking a qualified and experienced American Sign Language Interpreter to join our team remotely toprovide virtual interpretation services for a middle school student throughout their school day. The interpreter will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between the student and their teachersand other school staff members. This will be a part time position for the full upcoming school year, working approximately 8am-12pm Monday through Friday.
