    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position, requiring SC or compact RN licensure and strong LDRP skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with nursery and GYN surgery patient responsibilities
    • LDRP setting with cross-training in labor, delivery, circulator roles, acute care nursery, and OB triage
    • Patient assignments include 1:1 care for labor and mag patients, 1:2 for cytotec inductions, 1:3 for couplet (mother-baby) care, and 1:1 for sick nursery
    • 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with every other weekend required
    • Call and floating to other qualified units and campuses are required
    • Uses Omnicell for medication management and EPIC EMR (1 year of EPIC experience required)
    • Responsibilities include labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum care, hearing screenings, and GYN surgeries
    • RNs are cross-trained and may work in multiple roles within the maternal child health service
    • Baby Friendly facility with an emphasis on mother-baby couplet care
    • First time travelers with sufficient experience may be considered
    • Scrub/dress code to be provided during onboarding
    • Holiday coverage may be required depending on shift assignment

    Requirements

    • Active SC or compact RN license
    • Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
    • Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (2 years preferred)
    • 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
    • Must live more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility for travel eligibility; for night shift roles, candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus
    • Two professional references required for consideration
