    Job Title: Senior Health Communications Specialist - Research

    Job Summary:

    FedWriters is seeking an experienced Research Dissemination and Translation Specialist to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s Prevention Research Centers (PRC) Program in various promotional and communication activities, including PRC Program's three conferences in the funding cycle. The PRCs are academic research centers in the United States that are university-based and serve a vital role within the public health system.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Providing planning and coordination services for forums to share PRC activities, research, and tools
    • Submitting a dissemination event recommendations document that outlines dissemination event opportunities timeframe of the events, what type of session/event for consideration
    • Developing specific planning timelines for social media events
    • Coordinating and implementing three dissemination events to share PRC research findings and work with focused audiences, such as public health practitioners
    • Providing planning and coordination services for collaborative social media events
    • Developing a social media event recommendations document
    • Planning, coordinating, and executing two social media collaborative events during the PRC funding cycle
    • Providing information, guidance, and technical assistance (TA) directly to PRCs and through coordinated technical assistance opportunities/sessions
    • Developing technical assistance tools and provide TA webinar sessions to the PRC Network Communication and Dissemination Leads on communication requirements
    • Developing specific planning timelines before each designated technical assistance webinar with planning activities and materials outlined and due dates for each session and the tools needed
    • Applying design elements using the PRC Program's Style Guide and updating those design files as needed
    • Supporting the PRC Program's three conferences in the funding cycle
    • Traveling to support onsite Research Dissemination events

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
    • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
    • The ability to travel to onsite events in the continental United State

    Desired:

    • Master's degree in a relevant field

    Work Setting and Environment:

    • Monday - Friday, normal working hours
    • Work is to be performed remotely
