- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Order and interpret lab results and diagnostic procedures
- Communicate findings and create treatment plans
- Carry out therapeutic procedures such as IV line placements and occasional blood draws
- Document patient care by charting in patient's medical records
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide high-quality care
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development
- Adhere to the professional standards and guidelines of the medical profession
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Minimum of three years of experience preferred with a strong background in internal medicine
- Current state Physician Assistant license
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care within our Emergency Room. You will be responsible for managing patients admitted to Medicine/Family Medicine Departments while they are boarding in the Emergency Room. You will also participate in patient care rounds, communicate with patients and their families about the status of their current condition, and assist in the transfer of patients to our residents once the patient is moved to the regular inpatient floors.

The position requires 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week. No overnight shifts required.
