- Conduct needs assessments to identify local community needs.

- Facilitate program implementation and evaluation in alignment with community needs.

- Prepare and submit reports on time, ensuring compliance with deliverable requirements.

- Attend local, regional, and state-level meetings to support internal work and strategic community partners.
- Foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders for effective prevention efforts.
- Develop and implement evidence-based strategies for community-level prevention.
- Ensure strategies align with best practices in the field.
- Participate in developing and implementing prevention programs in collaboration with stakeholders, funders, and internal teams.
- Contribute to the design and execution of prevention initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships across various sectors.
- Establish new connections and partnerships to enhance community engagement.
- Utilize social media and other technologies for effective prevention and health promotion.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to the field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- Develop knowledge of community populations, including subpopulations with cultural and ethnic differences.

- A bachelor's degree in public health, psychology, social work, health sciences, education, counseling, or a related field is required or may be substituted for associate degree with documented experience in areas of substance misuse prevention, mental health, community organizing or U.S. military training experience working with substance misuse prevention / mental health promotion.
- Certified Prevention Specialist within timeframe as required to meet any program or grant related requirements.
