Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care under the supervision of a registered nurse advanced practice provider or physician Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan ensures the health comfort and safety of residents contributes to assessment documents interactions as needed outcomes related to medication behavior activity dietary skilled in establishing maintaining effective working relationships with healthcare professionals public ability communicate clearly maintain confidentiality sensitive information counsels family members advocate direction registered nurse physician prevention treatment plansQualifications
Graduate from accredited practical nursing program licensed practical nurse associate degree preferred if position requires IV therapy/management skills graduation completion IV Therapy course approved North Dakota Board Nursing must attended pre-licensure nursing program included supervised clinical experience life span curriculum minimum hours LPN another facility currently holds unencumbered licensed practical nurse license State Nursing board possess multi-state licensure privileges obtains subsequently maintains required department specific competencies certifications completes annual continuing education units CEU competency training requirements department facilityJob description
