    Job Title: Expeditor at Astrophysics Inc.

    Job Summary: The Expeditor plays a key role in supporting production planning processes that influence manufacturing operations. This individual ensures the smooth flow of work and materials within and between company departments.

    Essential Functions:

    • Review Warehouse copies of picking sheets to:
      • Ensure completeness of picking sheet fields.
      • Address material/BOM inaccuracies highlighted by Warehouse staff.
      • Report and rectify material/BOM inaccuracies to the Planning team.
    • Manage initial work order release in ERP system and update work order status in the Departments Work Order Log.
    • Maintain Warehouse history in the Departments Work Order Log.
    • Document picking sheet backorders.
    • Handle backorder management including:
      • Following up on backorders.
      • Performing inventory allocation/reallocation sanctioned by the Operations Team.
      • Coordinating with Procurement to expedite material deliveries and ensure production schedules are met.
      • Confirming backorder fulfillment with Warehouse personnel.
    • Assist in resolving Mexico shortages when necessary.
    • Contribute to the weekly validation of open work orders.
    • Support Physical Inventory activities.
    • Execute other assigned tasks and special projects.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum 6 months experience in planning, operations, or related fields.
    • Prior experience in a Warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong focus on deadlines and details.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    • Full-time position: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
    • (Working hours subject to change as per business requirements.)
