Premier state-of-the-art package printing company in NJ is hiring for a Packaging Product Development Engineer.
Responsibilities include:

• Material, equipment and process validation on the manufacture of p/s labels, paper and paper board products.
• Assist in the layout and correct manufacturing processes of complex label designs.
• Assist with packaging design, prototyping and testing.
• Research and make recommendations on adhesives and paper stock.
• Work with ink vendors and pressroom personnel to improve problematic inks and coatings.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 5 years' R&D or packaging product development experience in the P/S label or folding carton industry.
• Working knowledge with flexographic and offset printing inks and coatings.
• Knowledgeable on a variety of substrates; p/s, paper and paper board.
• Working knowledge of the converting, die cutting and slitting operations.
• Strong analytical and testing skills.
• Very good communication skills.
• PC proficient.
