The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Embedded Systems Group Senior Engineering Manager located in Albuquerque, NM in support of Laser and Electro-Optical Systems (LEOS)
The Embedded Systems Group manager will lead a team of firmware and hardware engineers that develop high performance Directed Energy and Electro-Optical Systems for a wide variety of customers
The algorithms for these systems are typically deployed on embedded hardware using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) in combination with a General-Purpose Processor (GPP)
Boeing is seeking highly skilled engineering manager to the lead our team that develops these critical embedded systems solutions

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
• Acquire resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develop and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manage, develop and motivate employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite

• Experience with leading or managing a team on an IR&D project or new product development
• Experience with designing, developing and testing complex embedded systems

Experience with integration of embedded software onto hardware Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Knowledge of system engineering concepts, processes, and methods in all phases of development.
