- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
- Position patients and equipment to ensure proper alignment and exposure.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images, adjusting settings to ensure the best possible images.
- Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Process and review images to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Communicate with physicians and other medical staff to ensure proper diagnostic procedures are followed.
- Associate degree or certificate in diagnostic medical sonography or related field.
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and related technology.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
