    Summary



    About the Position: Kansas City District, Corps of Engineers, is one of the world's premier public engineering organizations, capable of providing a full spectrum of engineering services.

    Perry Project: Position is seasonal and expected to run 10 months each season.

    Stockton Project: Position is seasonal and expected to run 6 months each season.



    Duties

    • Plans the day-to-day execution of activities related to one or more of the following programs: recreation and park administration, lakeshore management, public education and interpretation natural resource management.
    • Investigates vandalism and encroachments and interprets violation patterns to make recommendations for prevention and mitigation of such activities.
    • Makes inspections of land and water areas and activities on lands under outgrant to insure that proper utilization is being carried out in accordance with the terms of the outgrant document, the Project Master Plan and the OMP.
    • Inspects leaseholds for compliance with land use regulations and soil conservation plans.
    • Provides project information to local, and Federal agencies and visiting public through brochures, telephone calls, bulletin boards, news releases, and written and oral correspondence.
    • Plans, promotes, and executes special programs such as Eco-Meets, Environmental Awareness Days, and Safety Fairs.
