Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expert proficiency in the setup, assembly, and intraoperative handling of specialized instrumentation, including power surgical drills, oscillating saws, spinal fusion sets, and complex fixation hardware (screws, plates, and rods).
• Maintain a rigorous sterile field throughout high-volume surgical schedules, ensuring the integrity of implants and prosthetics while anticipating the surgeon's needs during Total Joint Arthroplasty (TJA) and minimally invasive spine procedures.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Facilitate rapid room turnover in a fast-paced ambulatory setting by expertly decontaminating specialty sets and collaborating with the sterile processing department to ensure all specific "doctor-preference" implants and disposables are staged and ready.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
