    Description

    Role: Junior-EM-Simulation Engineer

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Support the modeling and simulations of fuel consumption, energy efficiency and range based on the benefits raised, aligning the technologies linked to the company's action plan to achieve the Product and Brand targets and optimize the measurement method and characteristics of vehicles seeking to improve positioning in Fuel economy and Range Labeling and GHG.
    • Communicate (in oral and written format) the expected gains for the application of each technology proposed by each function and monitor the validation of these throughout the implementation of the Energy Efficiency plan.
    • Creation and presentation of scenarios, graphs and tables to compose the reports of the group of simulations allowing the company to make strategic decisions in global meetings and product committees as to the actions to be taken to achieve the goals.
    • Support diagnoses of pre-Certification results Gas Emissions and Fuel Consumption and Electric Energy Consumption and Range for US and North America market
    • Support the team in convergence groups of simulation methodologies and contribute to the evolution of virtual and experimental validation tools and know-how of the Clients group, related to consumption reduction and vehicle performance improvements activities and goal fulfillment plan.
    • Vehicle performance modelling and simulation, as in launch and capability maneuvers prescribed by client processes and test procedures.

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree in applied physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university.

    Qualifications:

    • Excellent Communication and presentation skills
    • Familiarity with EPA fuel economy regulations and procedures (previous academic or professional exposure)
    • Familiarity with hybrid powertrain technology and fuel economy considerations (previous academic or professional exposure).
    • Experience creating virtual models and correlate to real world results (previous academic or professional exposure).
    • Capable of quickly managing / processing large amounts of data
