Health and Safety Manager (hands-on)

Location: St. Paul, MN

Full time Direct Hire position

Salary range is $110-130K

Our large environmental client has an immediate need for a Health and Safety Manager on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position overseeing a small team while also being responsible for running the safety committee company wide. This position will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for both employees and business stakeholders across the entire organization while also complying with federal and state health and safety regulations.

Some duties may include but not limited to; conducting Health and Safety training for new employees, leading the Company-wide Safety Committee, approve subcontractors, Maintain OSHA 300 recordkeeping, ensuring the DOT program is compliant, investigating incidents, approving site specific Safety plans, inspecting equipment, managing the department budget, determining medical exam and drug testing requirements for specific jobs, supervising a small safety team.

We need someone who can champion safety company wide, has excellent communication skills, is still comfortable being in a hands-on position and can interact with both white collar executives and employees across the organization. Because of the nature of the work, you will come in contact with various hazardous materials, so a Hazwoper certification is strongly preferred. If interested, please apply today

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Safety Manager experience (preferably in the industrial or construction industries).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• HAZWOPER certification strongly preferred.
• Experience champion change and process improvements.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to other states from time to time as required.
