    Overview:

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    The Logistics Supply Specialist III will support test directors, engineers, and others who plan and execute test and evaluation projects for the Aviation Flight Test Directorate. As the Logistics Supply Specialist III, regular communication and feedback with the customer will be required to confirm that all testing procedures are followed by Redstone Test Centers standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. Additionally, test status updates will be provided weekly and monthly for all scheduled / non-scheduled testing including ammunition pick-ups and deliveries.
    Manage Government-owned equipment, supplies and other property, and their material condition maintenance as appropriate; tasks include but are not limited to: receiving, inspecting, storing, cataloging, inventorying, issuing, delivering, accepting turn-in and arranging appropriate disposition, by direction of appropriate authority preparing and executing transfer of equipment, supplies or property with all requisite documentation, and updating accountability records.
    Ensure timely fulfillment of time-sensitive requirements for supplies, equipment, and vehicles through frequent communication with supported technicians and engineers, and anticipatory planning and action.
    Perform audits and inventories, regularly scheduled and unscheduled as necessary.
    Manage General Services Administration (GSA) and organization-owned vehicles, and their maintenance.
    Complete equipment transfers and material disposal, turn-in, and relocation.
    Responsible for preparing monthly logistics reports.
    As warranted, prepare Department of Defense (DD) Forms 200, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) for the loss, damage, or destruction of DoD-controlled property.
    Use computer-based property accountability systems including Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A), Defense Logistics Agencys Federal Logistics (FEDLOG), Auto Scan Tracking System (ASTS), and RTC property systems and document registers to maintain accurate records.
    CDL A with HAZMAT endorsement required.
    Up to 30% Travel required.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Must have HS/GED.

    Minimum of two to four years' experience working within the area of unit supply operations, large inventory maintenance, property management, administration and Army equipment calibration. Possess knowledge of inventory management, shipping, receiving, transportation, storage, turn-in, property accountability, and supply procedures and regulations. The individual must be familiar with AR This regulation governs accountability, documentation, and coding of Army property. The individual shall have a demonstrated knowledge of the Army calibration system and have a working understanding of current IT as applied to property accountability.

    Must have or be eligible for a Secret Clearance.

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

    As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
