Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a tech and telecom location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor interactions. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state, with opportunities to use clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while delivering reliable, people-first service.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command as required.

Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter of a technology and telecommunications location, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials when required, and reporting irregularities.

Complete shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and activity summaries, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

Be 21+ years of age.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.

Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
