    Primary Purpose:

    To provide occupational therapy as related service for students with disabilities as identified in the student's individual educational program

    Qualifications:
    Education/Certification
    • Degree(s), certification, and/or licensure by the association and/or board as designated by law
    • Prefer successful experience in Texas public schools or equivalent
    Major Responsibilities and Duties:
    1. Provide services to students with disabilities as specified in the individual education program (IEP)
    2. Provide consultation to teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents concerning IEP implementation, maintenance, and evaluation
    3. Offers guidance and assistance to classroom teachers and suggestions for adapting materials and equipment for individual or class use
    4. Perform other duties as assigned by proper authority
    Working Conditions:
    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

    Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping,
    bending and kneeling, pushing and pulling, regular heavy lifting of students.
    Biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
