Job summary
We are looking for an Assistant Managing Clerk to maintain case deadlines in our automated docketing system, research and retrieve docket sheets and related pleadings, submit electronic filings, and provide guidance on local rules and procedures.Responsibilities
- Review court documents and correspondence accurately calendar deadlines in the Firm's automated docketing system.
- Research and copy court docket sheets, pleadings orders opinions locally nationwide upon request of attorney paralegal.
- Reviews electronic filings compliance with applicable rules requirements submits filings timely manner Notifies attorneys filing deadlines appearances deposition Communicate court filing procedures judges' rules attorneys secretaries paralegals Generate reports attorneys paralegal staff Coordinate service process summonses subpoenas as needed File court documents local courthouses as needed Support Managing Clerk Docket Attorney aspects department responsibilities Basic Qualifications Bachelor degree required 3+ of litigation experience CompuLaw preferred Must live within commutable distance firm office ability come office days week Competencies Organize prioritize complete numerous tasks accordance deadlines Strong written verbal communication skills require effectively communicate diverse group attorneys staff Ability solve problems choosing clear-cut alternatives necessary Work occasionally requires normally scheduled work hours assist electronic filings Benefits Winston offers comprehensive benefits full spectrum coverage support employees families Additional information benefits rewards here Salary New York based applicants only target annual salary range role currently $96k$107k regular full-time schedule amount compensation determined factors including but not limited internal equity Total compensation includes healthcare package yearly retirement contribution may include discretionary merit bonus We equal opportunity employer welcome applicants backgrounds experiences}
