Administrative Professional II

West Chester Township immediately needs to fill an Administrative Professional II position. The Administrative Professional II performs various routine and detailed administrative and technical functions specific to the day-to-day operations of the Township, with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and tact when responding to inquiries are crucial.

This position is critical in preparing the Board of Trustees meeting agenda portfolio. Board of Trustee meeting attendance is also required. Schedules travel and payment for conferences and training for Township Administrator and Elected Officials.

Fulfills public records requests; maintains fleet files for all Township vehicles; prepares Township insurance renewal annually; and knowledge of purchase requisition and purchase order functions.

The position requires some independent judgment and action with the proficiency to learn new concepts and ideas concerning local government. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. The starting pay range is $ $25.00 per hour.

Required qualifications include:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years related experience or combination of training and experience
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Microsoft Office skills
Calendar management

Preferred qualifications include:

Experience with the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Sunshine Laws, and record retention practices
Prior government experience
Completion of secondary education preferred
Experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred
Laserfiche software experience (document management)
