    In brief, this role will provide you the opportunity to showcase your ability to train and pass along your knowledge to others (a team of two AE's will report into this role initially), as well as consult with our myriad clients to help guide them to grow and enhance their manufacturing capabilities

    Although not all inclusive, below are some of the role's responsibilities:
    • Manage, build and upgrade the applications engineering team.
    • Working with management and the voice of the customer build AE capability that will differentiate and add value to the team's Sales Process.
    • Institute a program of "continuous improvement" for the AE department with seminars, training and OJT.
    • Oversee creation of part processes and cycle time estimates
    • Manage turnkey system projects
    • Assist In fixture/tooling design
    • Prepare reports for management and project requirements.
    • Interface and assist, service, and sales departments as needed with the goal of exceeding customer expectations.
    • Develop and manage revenue streams from engineering activity
    • Coordinate training classes for customers and Ellison Technologies (ET) engineers
    • Provide customer technical support via phone & on-site
    • Manage customer relationships
    • Coordinate machine demonstrations at ET and for trade shows
    • Develop and maintain builder/supplier and vendor relationships
    • Use, assess and recommend CAD/CAM Software Systems
    • Maintain proper records of customer issues and requests for support
    • Participate with enthusiasm on other related duties as assigned


    General Requirements: Dedication to detail, with a biasis towards action, able to create "followership "amongst the team members, and self motivated. Travel and overnight stays are required for projects and training periodically, but we'll focus on the Southern Ohio market. Other requirements may be added in the future as the market dictates.

    First, someone who is interested in being in a leadership role focused on coaching and developing their team, coupled with a breath of technical knowledge and the ability to share that with those around you as you operate in this very hands-on leadership role.

    Strong fluency in programming CNC lathes, machining centers, and working with 5 axis machines is very important.
