Description:

• The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is looking for a skilled Research Associate for a position in the Academic Support Staff. This role is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension up to three years, depending on performance and funding availability.
• Candidates must have expertise in peptide design and synthesis (3-5 years experience) and a solid track record of publications in reputable journals. A Ph.D. degree is required for this position.

Responsibilities include leading peptide design and synthesis activities in the lab under Dr. De La Fuente's guidance, focusing on antimicrobial and encrypted peptides found in proteomes.

The chosen candidate will have the chance to work in a state-of-the-art lab alongside industry experts in biotechnology applied to psychiatry.
