    Description

    You are expected to uphold the School's philosophy and will report to the Advancement Director. As our officer of the major gift program, you will be expected to:

     Help our donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with the client

     Secure major gifts at the highest giving circles of $25,000 and above.

     Manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor database and wealth screening tools.

     Manage existing portfolio of x# donors and prospects.

     Work with the Advancement Department to align efforts and set goals.

     Create and implement strategic plans set forth by the Board of Trustees, Head of School and Advancement Department.

     Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist the Board, Head of School and Strategic Planning and Master Property Planning Committee with their solicitations (e.g. provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications).

     Acknowledge major donors through public and private recognition.

     Track and report progress using specific metrics.

    Qualities we are seeking for our major gifts officer are:

     You are a true people person with an outgoing nature. You're a self- starter and driven by results.

     You have at least 4 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a focus on major gifts. You have a track record of securing individual and

    major gifts and meet objectives. You make donors feel valued because you're sensitive to their needs.

     You are proficient using a donor database, prospect research and other wealth screening tools to aid in your moves management process.

     You establish and maintain good working relationships within our organization and with outside constituencies.

     You have honed your writing and speaking skills and use them to compel individuals to action.

     You are organized, prepared, detail-oriented oriented and follow through on tasks.

     You are determined to bring people in line with your vision and motivate them to reach our goals.
