    OptionsEducation Assistant ProgramThe Position:
    The PIC Oversees completion of professional assignments involving compounding, dispensing and preservation of drugs and medicines prescribed by medical personnel


    Responsibilities Include:
    Compounding and dispensing drugs and medicines prescribed by physicians or other authorized medical personnel.
    Comply with all local, state and federal accrediting rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.
    Make substitutions of comparable drugs for drugs with trade names, as appropriate.
    Manufacture pharmaceutical preparations as needed.
    Prepare solutions and sterile vehicles.
    Respond to inquiries concerning drug contents, dosages, regimen reviews, storage and disposal.
    Monitor drug therapies for drug interactions, allergies and contraindications.
    Monitor stocks of drugs and chemicals.
    Inventory drugs, medications and supplies as required.
    Maintain supplies and the security of drugs.
    Provide consultations on the use and care of prescription drugs and medicines with patients.
    Maintain records and prepare reports on all narcotics dispensed.
    Provide technical assistance to providers of healthcare in a variety of settings.
    Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.

    Completes all necessary managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, holding meetings, addressing performance issues, and approving payrollSchedule:
    Typical Business Hours, Monday-Friday 8:30a-5pm Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) professional degreePost graduate trainingApplicable state licensureExcellent customer service skillsProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
