    Description

    We are looking for a talented Senior Business Analyst to join our team at ChemStation International. The ideal candidate will lead the hands-on business analysis work for an Acumatica ERP implementation across manufacturing and distribution operations.

    The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for partnering with site SMEs and leaders to clarify business needs, document current and future workflows, write high-quality requirements, and support testing and rollout. The overall objective of this role is to drive alignment across business and technical teams while ensuring successful ERP implementation.

    This is a delivery role. You will write and diagram the work, then drive alignment across business and technical teams.

    Location: Dayton, OH preferred; Columbus or Cincinnati, OH; also open to East Coast (ET) and Central (CT) time zones

    Work model: Remote or hybrid (within the locations/time zones above)

    Travel: Periodic (34 times per year), as needed

    What You'll Do

    Discovery & Stakeholder Alignment

    • Lead structured discovery with SMEs and stakeholders across multiple sites and time zones.
    • Drive decisions to closure and document outcomes (tradeoffs, assumptions, risks, dependencies).
    • Ensure business expectations are consistently understood across operations, IT, and vendors.

    Requirements (Hands-On Writing)

    • Produce clear artifacts such as business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
    • Translate workflows into implementable requirements for configuration, integrations, reporting, and data.
    • Maintain traceability so what we build and test aligns with what the business needs.

    Process Analysis & Documentation

    • Document current-state and future-state processes and identify gaps.
    • Partner with stakeholders to standardize processes where needed, while accounting for site-level realities.

    Agile Delivery Collaboration

    • Collaborate with product/engineering in an Agile delivery model through backlog refinement, planning support, and ongoing clarification during build.
    • Keep requirements "build-ready" and reduce churn by clarifying acceptance criteria early.

    Testing & Rollout Readiness

    • Support SIT/UAT by defining test scenarios, validating outcomes, and coordinating business feedback and defect triage.
    • Support readiness materials (process guides, job aids) and go-live/hypercare needs.

    Deliverables You'll Own (Examples)

    • Process maps (current/future), gap analysis, and decision log
    • User stories + acceptance criteria; functional specs as needed
    • UAT scenarios/scripts and sign-off support
    • Requirements traceability (simple, need-to-test links for every story)

    Required Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst on enterprise systems implementations.
    • Demonstrated strength in:
    • Requirements elicitation with SMEs (workshops, interviews)
    • Requirements writing (clear stories + acceptance criteria)
    • Process mapping/diagramming
    • Working day-to-day with developers, implementors, and QA to clarify intent and validate outcomes
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to lead working sessions and drive alignment.

    Strongly Desired

    • Acumatica experience (or comparable ERP: NetSuite, Dynamics 365, SAP).

    Nice to Have

    • Manufacturing/distribution domain exposure.
    • Azure DevOps experience (Boards/backlog and Agile work management; optional exposure to Test Plans).
    • Data migration experience (mapping, validation/reconciliation) as a plus, not required.
