- Responsible for writing customer and internal repair tickets. Includes comprehending technician write up and figuring costs of bills for warranty work and insurance claims.
- Process, file and track warranty claims.
- Research job codes for actions taken for repairs on warranty work.
- Coordinate with manager and prepare repair order for authorization as per warranty requirement
- Responsible for communicating with manufacturers, securing replacement parts and repairs for defective merchandise.
- Order parts for service repairs.
- Responsible for taking phone calls and scheduling warranty and insurance claim customer repairs.
- Be able to interpret parts diagrams/schematics and translate repair information.
- Assist the manager in maintaining accurate and on time reports/tickets relative to warranty service done through the department.
- Keep Service and Assistant Service Managers informed on all special parts orders, shortages, and malfunctions.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of all products and services that are offered through your local dealership.
- Maintain knowledge and follow all safety procedures put into practice by the company, the vendor, or government.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment by interacting with customers, peers, management, and support resources in a way that promotes teamwork and a commitment to excellence.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in Automotive or Heavy-equipment dealer.
- Must have experience in a Service environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment.
- Comprehensive experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel, internet navigation and computer software and data bases.
- Familiar with small and large Agriculture equipment preferred.
- Strong and effortless personable skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within this position.

- Ability to repeatedly bend, crouch, kneel, stand, reach, grasp, crawl, walk, push, pull, or climb.
- Ability to climb in, out of, and under equipment.
- Ability to operate all vehicles and equipment safely to prevent injury to self or others.
- Lift 10 pounds regularly, lift up-to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift 65 pounds.
- Possess a visual acuity that will allow you to see small cracks, holes, and parts.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment or outside in inclement weather.

A Warranty Writer provides support to the Service Management team. The main objective of this position is to write up and process warranty claims with manufactures and assist customers with their service needs in relation to warranty and insurance claims. A successful Warranty Writer will satisfy all customer's needs and perform the following duties in a way that directly reflects H&R Agri-Power's mission to provide quality products/services at a fair price to afford a reasonable return on assets.
