    Description

The Han lab in the Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology is hiring a part time technician with a target start date ofJune 1, 2024 or sooner.

    Who We Are:

The Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology ) is an interdisciplinary hub of life science research at Cornell. Our faculty perform cutting edge cell biological research, from basic molecular mechanisms to human diseases. We bring together faculty, students, and postdocs from various departments and graduate fields, representing research areas that might not otherwise engage in crosstalk.

Chun Han is an Associate Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics and a member of the Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology. The Han Lab ) studies the mechanisms of dendrite morphogenesis and neurodegeneration using Drosophila sensory neurons as a model system. Fundamental to its ability in forming neural circuits and processing information, each of the billions of neurons in the brain needs to establish and maintain a functional dendritic arbor. The research in the Han lab is focused on deciphering the secret of dendrite development and dendrite degeneration. By using cutting edge technologies in molecular biology, cell biology, microscopy, and genetics, they aim to uncover core principles of dendrite morphogenesis at molecular and cellular levels both during normal development and in neuronal degeneration.
