Conducts a full range of activities required to research, identify, prepare, manage and submit grant proposals to Federal, State, foundation or corporate sourcesPrepares grant applications, requests for proposals and letters of intent/inquiryWorks with assigned departments to prepare budgets or other documents in response to solicitationsEstablishes and maintains complete files on all grants and contracts entered by the CountyEstablishes and maintains personal contact and relationships with Federal, State and foundation contacts and program officersWorks to increase grant-related revenue streams for the CountyAssists with preparing Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance submissionsCoordinates financial audits and information requests from FEMA and other grant/contract representatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in English, communications, creative writing or closely-related fieldMaster's Degree in English, communications, creative writing or closely-related field (Preferred)Two years of experience in full-cycle grants application and documentation processValid Florida driver's license with clean driving recordAny combination of education and experience may be substituted, so long as it provides the desired skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Occasionally moves boxes and/or files weighing up to 10 pounds.
