- Planning and delivering meaningful, challenging instruction tailored to students enrolled in Spanish and French courses at different proficiency levels
- Collaborating with colleagues in the World Language Department to design courses that engage and motivate students to think critically and independently
- Contributing positively to the growth of the World Languages Department
- Mentoring students to become global citizens fluent in multiple languages and well-versed in diverse cultures
- Acting as an advisor to a group of eight to ten students, providing support for their personal and academic development
- Embracing the school's dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion by continually assessing curriculum and teaching methods
- Showcasing a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development by actively participating in learning opportunities
- Enriching school life by overseeing student clubs and activities and serving on academic committees
- Share a dedication to achieving the mission, goals, and objectives of the Academy and the World Language Department.
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish, French, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of teaching languages at the secondary school level with a strong academic record
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and school leaders

Job Description
Sewickley Academy is in search of an innovative, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Spanish and French teacher in our Middle and Senior Schools.
