    COLLEAGUE TRANSFORMATION DIRECTOR
    Class Code 1717 / Exempt / Full-Time / Benefited / Contract

    UC College of the Law SF (UC Law SF) currently utilizes Ellucian Colleague to manage and maintain data in support of academic and business practices.

    Users of Colleague include Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Health Services, Student Services, Fiscal Services, Registrar's Office, Information Technology, and Purchasing.

    The information in Colleague is then shared through Colleague Self-Service to both students (for class registration, financial aid management, tuition payments, degree progress monitoring, etc.) The underlying database supporting Colleague is hosted by Ellucian.

    Ellucian Colleague has engaged in a modernization project that will eliminate administrative access to the Unidata colon prompt within the Ellucian ERP system.

    Further, Ellucian's Resource Domain Project and its ultimate modernization move to SaaS will also eliminate the ability of the College to leverage the Rocket Software UniObjects library to perform a whole host of tasks.

    The overriding goal of this position is to lead the College in the transition of its current ERP data to a modernized solution.

    This position will supervise a database technician and work with key academic departments including Admissions, the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid and Fiscal Services to handle the migration and maintenance of all aspects of the administrative system and database, including release installations, planning, conversions, enhancements, access, security, and troubleshooting.

    The anticipated duration of this contract position is two years.

    Collaborate with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and administrative departments, to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions to support their academic and operational requirements as we modernize the Colleague environment.

    Develop reports, database queries and virtual field routines to aid in the completion of tasks related to administrative database functions.

    Provide troubleshooting and problem solving on administrative system problems, escalating to Ellucian Colleague as necessary.
    Attend and assists at administrative user meetings.
    Provide data extractions for end users as needed.
    Assist with the management of the administrative system, including release installations, planning, conversions, enhancements, access, security, and troubleshooting.
    Assist with the installation and support of third-party applications available to Colleague users, e.g. Supervise, train and evaluate subordinate staff.

    Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience providing complex application support in a multi-user environment utilizing a relational database management system.

    Given the specialized nature of the position, preference is for highly skilled work experience with Unidata and Datatel/Ellucian Colleague, and Colleague Self-Service.

    Experience with implementing, configuring, customizing and integrating application solutions.
    Administrative work experience on a college or university campus preferred.
    Knowledge of proper usage, function and syntax of SQL or MultiValue databases.

    Proficient in the use and creation of queries for system users, and in building virtual fields to support user reporting.

    Knowledge of a modern programming language to integrate our various platforms through APIs and create user front-ends.
