    Exempt Summary:

    This individual will be responsible for the development, oversight, management and accountability of the Marketing Department including full-time, seasonal staff and interns.

    This role will work to support the initiatives of the Norfolk Tides through data research, brand development, and awareness to drive ticket sales and fan engagement during Tides games.

    Additionally, this individual will be responsible for synergy across marketing platforms including, but not limited to print, broadcast, digital media, radio, game program, and in-game entertainment.


    Essential Duties:
    Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

    Develop and implement a 12-month marketing plan to ensure the determined goals of the organization are metDevelop strategy to increase revenue in areas such as online and single game ticket sales, merchandise, concessions and non-baseball eventsDaily oversight and updates of content on team website including FanCompass platformDaily oversight and updates of content on team social media accountsManage team Goggle Analytics account, develop revenue opportunitiesDevelop strategies to grow and segment data bases for use in email and text marketingMaintain consistent records and reports for audience size and demographics of teams digital platformsOversee plan, budget, and execution of paid and non-paid external marketing including, but not limited to TV, radio, print, digital media, billboards, OTT, paid social, etc.

    Manage chat/fan interaction for social channels and any live streaming broadcastsDevelop strategy, implement and oversee execution of survey platformMaintain and update promotional calendar for internal communication and staff planningChampion creation of team podcast platformWork toward continuous quality improvementStay current with changing technology, including software programsUphold, support, and promote all company policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications:

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelors degree from an accredited, four-year college or university requiredMinimum of three (3) years full-time experience in sports, entertainment, advertising, media, marketing or related field in the sports industry required.
