    Job Title: Director of Finance

    Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications)

    Location: South Chicago 9119 S. Exchange Ave Chicago, IL 60617

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

    Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our Leadership team. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the Finance Department, which includes Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Grant Accounting Teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong financial background and a proven track record of success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the organization's Finance Department, including Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Grant Accounting Teams.
    • Manage all aspects of the monthly and annual close process.
    • Prepare annual audit schedules and assist CFO in the preparation of budgets, fiscal reports, and other management and informational reports.
    • Provide monthly financial closing process, including revenue cycle department postings, payroll/benefits period and accrual postings, purchasing, and accounts payable.
    • Manages the information and coding the general ledger that derives cost reporting, grant billing receivable, and tracking specific to location, department, grant, and asset restrictions.
    • Selects, trains, orients and manages departmental personnel. Recommends merit increases, promotions, improvements, and disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
    • a minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and laws
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage and lead a team
    • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
