    About Custom ProfileCustom Profile is an employee-owned company that develops and manufactures specialty thermoplastic profile extrusions and sub-assemblies with locations in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Camden, SC and Juarez, Mexico.

    Our in-house tooling design and fabrication allows for complete control of quality and reduced lead times.

    The company boasts a blue-chip customer base, including Herman Miller, Haworth, Hon/Allsteel, Steelcase, Whirlpool, Electrolux, GE Appliance, 3M and others.

    What We Do for Grand Rapids, MichiganEstablished in 1992, our Grand Rapids, Michigan plastic extrusion warehouse has been with us since the beginning.

    With a 125,000-sq.-ft. building area and an impressive 110,000 sq. ft. in production space, Custom Profile can produce high-quality plastic products on a short timeline.

    Equipped with 19 extrusion lines and 9 co-extruders, and more thanks to collaboration with our other two locations, we can tackle any project with ease.

    Experience in leadershipWe have the opportunity for youRequirementsThe successful candidate will be responsible for :

    • Assign daily duties to operators; support, develop and implement each operators training objectives. Oversee daily production operations and communicate with all support areas and employees in a timely and efficient manner and hold them accountable to the requirements of the position.
    • Ensure all employees are adhering to the companies' quality standards and meeting our goal of 100% on-time delivery and zero defects.
    • Work with Scheduler to determine priorities, schedule employees as needed; print necessary production paperwork required for the jobs scheduled.
    • Ensure all employees/self are adhering to company safety standards.
    • Maintain appropriate reports/documentation including reporting production cards, processing necessary paperwork for spec changes and studying and documenting work processes for potential improvement activities.
    • Assist in all aspects of employee relations; including, but not limited to: recruiting, interviewing, write-ups, reviews, stay interviews, accident reports, time card and over time approval, promote company events and employee termination, etc.
    • Work as main liaison between employees and management. Be committed to the company's mission statement, goals, core values and quality policy.
    • Complete assigned Gemba/LPA/5's audits and complete/follow up on assigned tasks related to the audits.
