Job DescriptionUnited Talent is currently seeking aLab & Prep Technicianfor the Ashland, KY area This job conducts standardized physical and chemical tests on materials and requires you to help prep materials for chemical tests following standardized methods and perform physical tests following standardized methods. ** If you are someone who has experience in the science/ lab field, mining/coal industry, manufacturing or warehouse experience you are encouraged to apply. Must be able to pass a drug screen and have clean background to qualify for this opportunity. Please have an updated resume submitted for this job opportunity Job Responsibilities:

• Collects materials as directed for preparation.
• Prepares materials for analytical processes, divides, and reduces materials as specified in established procedures to the specified nominal top size and mass.
• Performs test and quality control procedures.
• Maintains analytical, preparation, sampling, and transportation equipment as necessary.
• Performs test and quality control procedures in accordance with standard test methods established by lab management.
• Reports test results to lab management with daily sample queues assigned by lab management.
• Proactively observes analytical results and quality control data to ensure that analytical processes are operated in an "in-control" condition.
• Informs lab managers at detections of indicators of deviations from acceptable quality control criteria.
• Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Shift: Shift must be flexible as you will be on whatever shift is needed. Mostly evening- overnight. Pay is based on experience. (Shift differential opportunity) Requirements:

• 1-3 months of lab testing related background is preferred.
• HSD or GED
• Basin math and language skills.
• Steel toed Boots
• Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able lift 50+ pounds
• Ability/ willingness to learn new skills on the job.
