    Our client, a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company providing innovative solutions for the power, renewable, and industrial industries, is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join their team in Illinois on a full-time basis.


    In this role, you will lead the project's Safety team, ensuring the implementation of effective safety programs to maintain operational safety while minimizing risks and costs for the company.


    Responsibilities:
    Lead the project Safety team in communicating and enforcing safety policies, conducting training, audits, and meetings.
    Conduct worksite inspections to ensure compliance with ES&H policies, permits, and procedures.
    Generate reports and documentation of ES&H activities.
    Provide comprehensive safety training and education for employees.
    Manage procurement of ES&H supplies and equipment.
    Oversee emergency preparedness and incident management.
    Foster a positive safety culture and accountability for safety measures.
    Develop and implement site-specific safety policies.
    Facilitate day-to-day safety activities and investigate on-site incidents.
    Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Director on worker's compensation claims and lead the emergency response team.

    Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and maintain a working relationship with the project client regarding safety concerns.

    Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
    7-10 years of industry experience.
    Certification in CSP, ASP, CHST, or similar.
    Proficiency in technology use.
    Extensive knowledge of OSHA/EPA/NFPA/ANSI regulations.
    Competency in industrial hygiene and emergency planning.
    Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in industrial solar projects preferred.
    Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.


    Work Environment:
    Willingness to travel/relocate.
    Exposure to heavy construction environments.
