    Description

    The Senior Accountant will be a self-motivated team member who is detail-oriented and diligent regarding accuracy and quality of the work performed for the Accounting Department.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Finance. CPA preferred
    • Two to five years' experience in manufacturing, retail or distribution industries
    • Proven proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability and desire to work with all levels of management
    • Ability to work in a global environment with issues including FX and financial reporting requirements
    • Strong GAAP and IFRS knowledge
    • Experience with general ledger activity
    • Experience with inventory control
    • Monitoring inventory levels at multiple locations
    • Creating and executing inventory control procedures and systems.
    • Conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
    • Experience tracking Capital expenditures
    • Experience streamlining accounting processes
    • Highly dependable with excellent work attendance record
    • Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy
    • Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information
    • Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle multiple tasks
    • Proactive and work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines

    DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyze and review with department heads financial reports including actual results, forecast, and budgets
    • Perform account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and expense accounts
    • Ad hoc projects and reports requested by various levels of management
    • Prepare journal entries for posting
    • Account analysis
    • Month-end close procedures
    • Capital project management and ROI evaluation
    • Other duties as assigned

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Ability to sit at a desk for periods of time
    • Ability to work in an open office environment
    • Ability to walk or stand for short periods

    EXPECTED HOURS

    • Availability to work 8 hours per day and additional overtime hours Monday - Friday
    • Availability to start work before regular shift and remain after shift
