Accounts Payable Specialist
. This role is responsible for high-volume invoice processing, vendor payment management, and reconciliation across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will support a complex, multi-entity environment while ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payment execution.
Job Duties
- Process and code high-volume vendor invoices within an automated invoice management system
- Maintain and update vendor records, including payment terms and banking information
- Route invoices for approval and follow up with facility administrators to ensure timely authorization
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies between system records and statements
- Generate weekly payment batches, including check runs, ACH, and electronic disbursements
- Export approved invoices to the general ledger and verify successful integration
- Manage portal-based vendor payments across multiple facility bank accounts
- Respond to vendor payment inquiries and maintain detailed documentation of payment status
- Support month-end accrual processes and assist with AP aging analysis
Skills & Experience
Required
- 3–5 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience using automated invoice processing or AP workflow systems
- Proficiency in ERP or general ledger systems
- Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation functions)
- Experience managing vendor statements and payment reconciliations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
Desired
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment
- Exposure to healthcare, senior living, or skilled nursing financial operations
- Experience with invoice automation platforms
- Familiarity with healthcare-based GL systems
- Experience processing portal-based vendor payments across multiple bank accounts
