- Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
- Produces high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for
- Documents all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly
- Explains procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and
- Appropriate monitoring during all phases of procedure with special care taken to
- Assist and/or chaperones radiologist when they are performing ultrasound exams
- Assists radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using appropriate sterile
- Communicates patient information in a professional and courteous manner to
- Maintains the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and insures proper equipment
- Maintains a good working relationship with Radiologists and other Center staff
- Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
- Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
- Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
- Must maintain patientfirst focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
- Other duties as assigned
- Education: Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is
- Certificates: Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only are not eligible for hire). ARRT-BS is acceptable for breast sonography only;
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography; ARRT advanced level certification in breast sonography and mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible; Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
- Must possess nonrestricted licensure in state work location;
- Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;
- Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;
- Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
- Prior quality control experience preferred;
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time;

Full Time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm CST
The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonography
equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements. Individual must
maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique. Communicates
with the patient and relays any pertinent information to the radiologist and documents on
tracking sheet/chart. Communicates with the radiologist and understands and performs
any necessary additional exams. The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
