    Description

    Job Title: Medical Assistant/Administrative Assistant

    Job Summary:

    This role assists nurses, medical providers, and counselors with daily responsibilities on the inpatient and outpatient units. The successful candidate will provide quality customer service, participate in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collects medical information and history from clients, records it in Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and communicates with other providers.
    • Assists medical providers and nurses with client physicals, vital signs, TB testing, and urine drug screens.
    • Maintains client confidentiality, charts results, and reports abnormal findings to LPN, RN, or provider.
    • Dispenses residential medications according to licensed personnel and accurately documents in EMR.
    • Participates in scheduling admissions, annual physicals, and TB tests for clients.

    Requirements:

    • Medical Assistant certification and CPR certification.
    • 1-3 years of experience in substance abuse treatment preferred.
    • Ability to handle high-volume interactions, lift 10-20 lbs, walk, and stand for extended periods.
    • Proficiency in Clinical Applications and Microsoft Office, including Excel.

    Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
