What You Will Do:

The successful Air Force Program Cost Estimator will support our government clients within Department of Defense (DoD) Program Management Offices. You will create significant value and impact for the DoD by assisting in the control of program costs for Information Technology (IT) and/or weapon system acquisitions through the various stages of their project lifecycles. In this position, you could be tasked to develop an array of cost analysis documents varying in complexity, including but not limited to: Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs), Economic Analysis (EAs), Business Case Analyses (BCAs), and Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs). Our Government client s loo k to Guidehouse to provide thought leadership and demonstrate leading practices within the discipline of cost estimating. The best candidates will be capable of working effectively in professional work teams and will be required to coordinate cost analysis activity with assigned Air Force Program Managers, engineering technical leads, Government contracting, and program budget personnel to maintain program awareness and provide cost advice to government leadership when required.

What You Will Need:

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance
Bachelor's degree
Experience with data analytics, statistical analysis, or Excel spreadsheets.
Experience with Air Force Program Office or equivalent experience
Demonstrated expertise in the use of the entire suite of Microsoft Office programs (SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, One Note, etc.)

What Would Be Nice To Have:

An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) (or ability to obtain CCEA) via International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) or equivalent recognized certification authority is highly desired.
Additional relevant certifications and training such as Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 1+, Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Project Management, and Lean Six Sigma and similar process improvement techniques are also desired.
Experience producing cost estimates in both traditional and agile software development environments; commercial versus organic (DoD) development solutions; and efforts to shift program sustainment and development into a Cloud environment are desired.
Additionally, a general or integrated perspective and/or experience in DoD acquisition, financial management, and cost analysis is desired.
Experience using the following cost estimating tools is desired:
- ACEIT (Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool)
- SEER-SEM (Software Evaluation and Estimation of Resources - Software Estimating Model)
- Crystal Ball
- TruePlanning

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142, Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
