    Position purpose


    The RCM Supervisor is responsible for supervising and developing the RCM staff assigned to them, ensuring that individual and team productivity, as well as all other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), are monitored and communicated consistently and appropriate action is taken to rectify issues in performance.


    Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

    • Provide daily guidance and direction to team members
    • Ensure all work is distributed effectively and workflows are followed
    • Monitor individual user productivity
    • Perform quality audits and present findings
    • Respond to issues raised, both externally and internally, in a timely and effective manner
    • Actively participate in root cause analysis and coordinate resolution between appropriate parties, escalating when required
    • Serve as first response for employee issues/disputes
    • Approve time off requests, ensuring adequate staffing during peak times
    • Supervise staff, holding employees accountable for assigned responsibilities, individual goals, and performance expectations through annual performance evaluations
    • Lead team huddles in the designated cadence and support employee engagement efforts
    • Support compilation of team performance updates for management; attend management meetings when requested
    • Work in coordination with other members of the Central Billing Office as needed
    • Maintain privacy and confidentiality per policy and HIPAA regulations
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience: 4-6 years of prior physician RCM billing experience is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.


    Performance Requirements:

    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent customer service skills are required
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment

    • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment
    • Self-motivated with initiative

    Equipment Operated:
    This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Work Environment:
    Leading a remote workforce and may occasionally be requested to come into the office for collaborative team meetings in person

    Physical Requirements:
