    Supervise the stock preparation department. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the stock prep processes.
    Essential FunctionsResponsible for the proper operation of the stock processes. Train subordinate operators and evaluate their performance. Develop operating procedures and conduct process audits.
    Develop and maintain system to monitor raw material quality. Develop and maintain system to ensure processed pulp stock produces plates that meet specifications and customer demands.
    Ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Responsible for compliant wastewater discharge.
    Ensure process equipment is well maintained. Coordinate with maintenance resources to get work planned and completed.
    Monitor, conduct safety audits and safety meetings. Conduct safety training and investigation and develop follow-up measures to make improvements.
    Job QualificationsRequiredKnowledge of stock prep pulping, fiber prep and chemical delivery systems - 3 years of experience.
    Must have mechanical aptitude to understand how stock prep or paper process equipment works.
    Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
    Knowledge of basic college level chemistry.
    Experience working with Microsoft excel spreadsheets.
    PreferredBachelor of Science in General Sciences or equivalent work experience.
    Prior supervisory experience of 1-3 years.
