The job duties listed below are a general list of teacher responsibilities for an Elementary Science Teacher position.The Elementary Science Teacher will be responsible for maintaining a daily personal devotional life so as to be prepared spiritually for the demands of each teaching day and demonstrate by example love and obedience to Christ and His word.
In addition, the teacher will provide all written teaching plans required by the administration which incorporate the school's scope and sequence or other approved curriculum develop a plan and method for evaluating student work request instructional equipment and supplies prepare materials use resources to support instruction clearly communicate objectives relevance of material being taught integrate biblical principles evaluate student understanding mastery content demonstrate command enthusiasm subject matter utilize variety teaching methods materials media evaluation tools provide reference disciplines life examples transfer expand enrich learning utilize effective classroom instructional management techniques reflect Christ-like spirit dealing with student-teacher student-student relationships recognize value time-on-task demonstrate overall good use instructional periods planning periods arrange physical environment complement learning atmosphere maintain accurate complete school records maintain effective communication students parents team members faculty office staff administration clearly communicate compassion empathy students keeping mission school reflect Christ-like spirit dealing conflicts personal issues that arise serve committees purpose evaluating curriculum textbooks operational procedures special events services arrive punctually attend all duties programs meetings scheduled administration uphold enforce school rules administrative regulations support goals objectives school maintain professional attitude relationship others collaborate colleagues administration maintain personally appropriate manner model spiritual expectations school have earned Baccalaureate degree preferably education upon entering into contract teach Immanuel Christian School encouraged work toward Association Christian Schools International teaching license complete A.C.S.I requirements obtain professional A.C.S.I teaching license state licensure recommended but not required regenerated Holy Spirit through personal faith Jesus Christ acceptance Jesus Savior working knowledge Bible complete studies Christian Philosophy Education
