We are looking for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to work for our client. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor technical design and delivery activities for one or more product or service teams
• Define and document solution approach for technical problems or opportunities
• Provide expert direction and support for one or more application, data, integration, security, operational, and systems management architectural and design domains
• Derive IT strategies and approaches that support both short-term and long-term business plans and goals
• Develop high-level system specifications. Assist in developing system documentation. Advise on user procedures. Assist in the preparation of a general test plan. Coordinate system tests
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience in building highly scalable applications in Amazon AWS
• Experience with building scalable, decoupled event-driven systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to function well on a team
